JK BMS

GridEon reads the battery straight from the JK BMS, over the RS485 port. That way you see the real state of charge, voltage and temperature of the battery, not the inverter's estimate.

Step 1 · Find the BMS RS485 port

The JK BMS has communication ports on the case. Use the RS485 port, not the CAN port. The A and B pins are in the battery manual.

Step 2 · Connect the USB–RS485 adapter

Wire A to A (+) and B to B (−), then plug the adapter into the GridEon device. If the inverter is also read over RS485, use a separate adapter for the BMS.

Several batteries in parallelEach battery has an address set with the DIP switches on the case. Note the address of the battery you connect to.

Step 3 · Set up the battery in GridEon

Go to Settings → Battery, choose BMS RS485 direct as the source, JK as the model and the adapter's serial port. Save.

Step 4 · Check the data

On the Devices page, the Battery and BMS card should show Online, with SOC, voltage and temperature.

TipIf the BMS doesn't answer, GridEon marks the values as missing. It doesn't replace them with the inverter's, so you never see wrong data.

Troubleshooting

  • The battery stays Offline: swap A and B and check you're on the RS485 port, not CAN.
  • Several batteries, only one answers: check the DIP addresses, each one must be unique.
