Required hardware
The list below covers everything you need for a typical setup: one inverter and one battery.

| Device | Raspberry Pi 4 Model B (recommended) or an equivalent Orange Pi |
| microSD card | 16 GB or larger, from a known brand |
| Power | The board's official power supply (for Pi 4: USB-C, 5 V / 3 A) |
| RS485 adapter | USB–RS485 adapter, one for each device read over RS485 (for example inverter + BMS) |
| Cable | Twisted-pair cable (for example network cable) for the A/B lines |
| Network | Ethernet cable or WiFi |
TipAdapters with an FTDI chip are the most stable long term. We used them when testing GridEon.
Good to knowPut the device in a case, away from heat sources. The interface shows CPU temperature under Settings → System.
